Dilation Balloons

Dilation Balloons are commonly used during procedures to dilate a narrowed area of the esophagus, pylorus, or colon. A dilation balloon inflator fills the balloon with an injectable liquid (sterile water, sterile saline, or contrast mixture) to add pressure, allowing it to expand within the stricture. Balloon dilation is becoming a common technique for stricture dilation. The STERIS LUMIFLEX™ 3-Stage Balloon Dilatation Catheter provides a three-stage process, which allows three different expandable diameters in the same balloon.
